Spending A Day At Jane Seymour’s House & Other Highlights From 2014
A new year is the perfect time to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. It’s not like we can’t do this at any time but it just feels right to reset and reload at the beginning of a new year. So as I plan for 2015 I couldn’t help reminisce about some of the great stuff that happened this year. Okay it wasn’t all great but what’s the point in rehashing the stuff that didn’t make us smile right? If this was a tough year for you then kiss it goodbye as the clock strikes 12 and focus on making 2015 your best year ever.
I have some super-exciting plans in store for 2015 (which you’ll find out about real soon) but before then I wanted to share a few of my highlights from 2014 first.
STAR-STUDDED TRIP TO LA
Spending a day at Jane Seymour’s Malibu mansion definitely has to be one of my highlights this year. I mean it’s not every day you get to meet a real Bond girl. While Jane starred in numerous Bond movies her most famous character was Dr Quinn in the hit TV series Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. My cousin is married to the hunky Joe Lando who starred alongside Jane in the show. So when we were visiting family in LA recently we got to tag along to a star-studded pool party at Jane’s place. Talk about a day to remember!

STARRING IN A TV AD
I was lucky enough to spend a day filming a TV ad for Westfield to promote the fashion tours I regularly host at their centres across Auckland. You can find out more about these fun tours HERE

I WROTE A BOOK
I was pretty thrilled to actually write a book about one of my favourite subjects – fashion. The book helps take the hard work out of getting dressed and makes it super easy for you to step out in style every single day. If you want your own copy you can buy one HERE

SEALY AMBASSADOR
It’s not often you get to sleep on the job but that was my brief when I was given a brand new top-of-the-line Sealy bed to test drive. Pretty cool gig hey? You can find out more about what happened HERE

AMAZING LAUNCHES
I was super lucky to attend SO many amazing launches this year and the best would have to be jetting off to New Zealand’s magnificent South Island to spend a day at the amazing Brancott Estate vineyard. Not only did I get to go with some of the coolest gals in town, I also got to sample all of Brancott Estate’s delicious Flight wines that are naturally lighter in alcohol. I also attended two amazing Nike launches – one on Waiheke Island and the other equally awesome launch here. Of course there were too many cool launches to mention but it’s safe to say I’ve been very spoilt.

MOST POPULAR POST
This may have been one of the earliest posts ever on The Style Insider but it’s still one of my most popular posts too. WINNING BLOGGER OF THE YEAR
Being awarded the nz girl Blogger of the Year award was not only the biggest surprise of all this year but it was the best possible end to a really amazing year.

THE YEAR AHEAD
I’ve definitely had my fair share of ups and downs this year but overall it’s been a cracker. Thanks for helping me turn my favourite hobby (blogging) into a career – I couldn’t have done it without you.
As for 2015 . . . well you’ll just have to wait and see what fun stuff we’ve got in store for you.
It’s going to be BIG though so watch this space.
