LFW Outfit Day 4

My final look for London Fashion Week was colourful on a dull day! My key piece was this beautiful 3D dress from Coast as I was attending a number of beautiful shows that day. I wanted something that said - airy, sophisticated with a twist of effortless chic.


What really drew my attention to this dress was of course its gentle pastel blue shade, not forgetting its oval 3D qualities, and it's gorgeous tulle underlay which gives it that perfect 'puffed' out effect as you walk. Here I'm wearing a size 16, as it's a fit and flare shape, it's extremely comfortable and ideal for a huge range of body shapes. This kind of style is particularly great for fuller busts as there is just the faintest slit at the top half, giving great coverage without looking smothered.

I added a waist belt with laser cut detail to enhance the waistline, while it's not necessary as it is a fit and flared style, I felt a belt gave it a hint of 'edge' to an exceptionally pretty dress. Adding to this edgy vibe a biker jacket always works wonderfully, and while a black biker jacket is always a winner, I wanted something fresher. This white version caught my eye recently in H&M which is made from a gorgeous neoprene material. It's light yet exceptionally warm with great attention to detail from the cut to the zips, meaning won't take away from the chic qualities of the dress. It's something that will work as a perfect wardrobe staple for the Spring and Summer months as it will instantly break up the darker items you might have.

For accessories, I needed something which carried my DSLR camera and my notes for the day so this washed effect bowler bag was a perfect choice from Next. A few weeks ago they launched their 'Next day delivery' in Ireland. So putting it to the test I ordered the bag online on a Wednesday evening before Fashion Week and it was with me the following day by 2pm - so while I am quite impressed by this I can't help feel slightly worried for my bank account in the future!haha.
