The Statement Jacket

With all the craziness of Christmas I like to keep a statement item in my wardrobe that does all the work for me. I was drawn to this jacket recently as the houndstooth print mixed with this biker style really caught my eye - for those who have followed this blog for awhile now would know my penchant for biker looks! :) I found it two weeks ago in the Kilkenny Shop who stock a brand called Oui. They're an international German brand so they can be found quite easily across the world.

It's just a perfect item that you don't have to put too much effort into styling. It would also be ideal for those insanely busy days where you still have to look smart while shifting through the pile of 'to-do' lists. Simply pair it with head to toe black as I've done here, or a pair of smart blue jeans and you're good to go.

This jacket is a very generous fit, so you would need to go down two sizes of what you would normally wear here. With Germany designs I find this sometimes, but its also good to note so that women up to a 20 / 22 could easily fit into their size 16/18.

The black pieces I chose for today are my current favourite faux leather look jeggings from Vero Moda and a long line top that finishes past the bum. As the weather is getting much colder I opted for my over the knee boots which are extremely warm and chic.

For finishing touches I added this simple black shoulder bag with chain detail from Parfois and one of my favourite cuffs which seems like I have had it for years but always looks the same! lol.
