Serves 0Ingredients
  • 2 cups all purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold, unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp honey plus more to drizzle over biscuits after baking
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
  2. Combine your dry ingredients in a bowl
  3. Cut the butter into small chunks (about the size of a sugar cube) and mix into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse meal
  4. Add the buttermilk and honey and mix until the ingredients are combined (don’t over mix – you want the batter to be lumpy!)
  5. Roll the dough in your hands using the extra flour. Be extra careful not to handle the biscuits too much! The more you handle the dough, the tougher your biscuits will be.
  6. Drop batter onto your pan leaving biscuits about 1 inch apart
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes
  8. Drizzle with honey and serve warm with honey butter (just use a fork to whip some honey into the butter)
