It’s crazy to fathom how beautiful one part of the country can be while another is going through such devastation. This was my weekend — passing out in the sun on a quiet day at the beach. A kind of day you should never take for granted. I’m from New Jersey (grew up going to the Jersey Shore — yes, the Jersey Shore on TV) and went to school in Maryland, so a good majority of my loved ones have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
