Mom Grilling 101: Barbecue Chicken Grilled Pizza

Just because I am the only female in this house, doesn't mean I cant fire up the grill outside and grill up something tasty. Today I am sharing one of my most favorite grill meals ever, Barbecue Chicken Grilled Pizza. I do have to note that my husband did have the help me turn the grill on, other than that, it was all ME! Since we live in Ohio and its snowing boots were a must. Yes, the outfit is very stylish. It's hard to believe this post is not a style piece.
Alright enough of the funny talk. Time for the details on this tasty pizza.
The month, Kraft Barbecue Sauce is celebrating the launch of a newly revamped line of sauces with recipes that feature high-quality ingredients like tomatoes, sweet molasses, cider vinegar and cane sugar. I was beyond estatic to see these sauces also do not include high-fructose corn syrup! That is something we wildly try to avoid in this house so I was pumped!
Kraft sent over some awesome sauces and grilling supplies and gave me free reign on the recipe so I chose this one, because it was the perfect one for their Sweet Honey Barbecue.
The new Kraft Barbecue Sauce is available in eight varieties across smoky, sweet and spicy flavors: Original, Hickory Smoke, Sweet Honey, Mesquite Smoke, Sweet Brown Sugar, Sweet & Spicy, Spicy Honey, and Thick & Spicy.
I started inside in the kitchen slicing onions and peppers and also browning up the chicken. I got all my supplies prepared before I hit the frozen tundra. We used to only grill in the summer but there is no way to recreate the taste indoors so I would say our family falls into the category of Evergrillers. Meaning, the pesky snow and cold won't stop this train.
Feel free to use any veggies you prefer for this recipe. My boys are huge fans of peppers and onions so that is why I chose those!
It was now time for the big show. As I said earlier, I had some assistance in lighting the grill! Notice how darn cold he is. I am pretty sure he was in his slippers. Normally he is barefoot so this is a step up for my regular blog followers.
I then took over the Evergriller duties and got to work.
The first thing you will do is lay the flat bread on the grill. I just prefer to lightly toast it before adding toppings to it.
Kraft sent over the most amazing grill tool, The Evergriller Grill 'N' Flip Mitt is a specially designed, fire-resistant grilling glove that protects the griller's hands from both the heat of the grill and the chill of the outdoors during winter grilling season. Let's not kid ourselves I need all the protection I can have while grilling and it made my hand nice and toasty!!! I used the spatula which was so perfect for flipping the flat bread over.
Grillers everywhere can enter for a chance to win an Evergriller Grill ‘N’ Flip Mitt of their own and a year’s supply of Kraft Barbecue Sauce. To enter, grill fans can visit GrillinFools.com between January 19 and January 30. The winner will be randomly selected at the close of the giveaway
Once the bread is warmed I added the toppings. I squirted it on and spread it around with a spoon.
Next load with your toppings.
The rest is easy as pie. Close the lid and let it grill. I checked every few minutes and re-positioned it on the grill to make sure the bread wasn't burning. I then tended to motherly duties while waiting for the grill because as a mom cooking in peace rarely happens. Children and animals will even follow you outside in the snow!
Once the cheese is melted you are good to go!!
I then drizzled with some Barbecue sauce for a pretty addition!
Be sure to turn the grill off and head inside to warm yourself and your belly. Each flat bread serves two, so slice it up and get to eating!
