my weekend | iphone pictures

i feel like this weekend went by at whirlwind speed.
i was laying in bed last night thinking, how is it already sunday night?!
looking ahead, this week will be full - and i'm happy about that!
workouts, cleaning, decorating, friendships...i'm hoping to watch as little tv as possible.
this week will be all about crossing things off of my to-do list!

friday: after work i got a flu shot, ran by the grocery store, and then started making two batches of cookies, oatmeal raisin and a fluffy chocolate chip. i packed up the cookies and went over to my friend LJ's moms place to spend some time with him, his mom, and ryan. (LJ is the one on the right, ryan is on the left). these guys are my favorite, i've known LJ since we were like 7 and ryan since high school. spending time with them talking, laughing, and making fun of each other makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, i came home with the biggest smile on my face because i just love spending time with them.

saturday: ran two miles first thing in the morning, trimmed bushes, got some venison from a friend, did a little christmas decorating and cleaning, had a photo session with a fantastic couple, and then had dinner. let me just say i will never eat the potato salad from atlanta bread company again; it made me feel like absolute trash the entire night. saturday also marked ten years since my mother passed away. i miss her (and my father) every single day, but i also recognize how blessed i was to have them as parents for the amount of time that i did. (my brother said i looked like a carbon copy of my mom in the picture i posted).

sunday: was spent recuperating from that dang potato salad. blehk. i also was able to run a few errands and do some more Christmas decorating (WIN!). late afternoon i had another photo session with a friend and her sweet pitbull at one of the local parks. when we were finished i decided i hadn't had enough time outside and wanted to walk through some of the paths. hmmmm. let's just say that high heeled boots tree roots wasn't the smartest decision...it also wasn't smart of me to then get lost on the paths with the sunlight fading. thankfully i made it back to my car safe and sound and my heart full of a small adventure.
