Thanks for tuning in to another edition of my 52 books in 52 weeks challenge. I'm tracking my progress on Goodreads, an awesome website that you should definitely check out, and maybe start your own reading challenge!

A Prayer for Owen Meany
is my favorite book of 2014 so far. I've been reading a lot of new authors and eBooks, trying to expand my reading horizons, but I'm so glad I gave in and read this good ole 600 page work of classic fiction. Often I'm reading more than one novel at once, but sometimes you just have to dive into a book. This was definitely one story I couldn't be distracted from.

John Irving created a story that swiftly and seamlessly traversed the life of a young boy and his heartbreakingly precious and unusual best friend. Owen Meany is one of the most outrageously amazing characters I've ever seen grace the pages of a book. It's been a while since I cried reading a novel, but this one had me in SUCH tear for the last two chapters.

Flawless.
