5 Money Saving Tips and Free Downloadable Finance Guide

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart Share the Word. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the worst feelings is having out of control finances. Just a couple years ago my husband and I nearly ate all of our savings to sale our house in the crashed housing market. We had to move because of the military so there was no other option. We didn’t want to become landlords. With a few simple money savings tips {listed below} we got our savings built back and you can too with the help of Kmart’s Share the Word empowerment platform.

1. Shopping! There are all kinds of stores like Kmart that offer really cute budget friendly wears, accessories, shoes, etc. You don’t have to hit up the department stores every time you go out. Think outside the expensive and you might just find something you like.
2. Cleaning! Lets face it laundry detergent can get expensive and if you have more than just yourself that you wash clothes for you can go through a bottle in a hurry. One of the easiest ways to combat spending so much on cleaning supplies is to make your own.
3. Prioritize! Think about what you really need. Do you really need that new pair of super gorgeous really got to have them shoes? I know it’s hard but just back away. If you are trying to save some money start making a list of where you spend unnecessarily and you will find plenty of ways to save a few bucks.
4. Be Smart! Don’t go into a store without a plan of what you are going there to get, especially if you are trying to save money. If I go into a store without a list I’m coming out with 50 things that I didn’t even go there for. Happens every time!
5. Coupons! If you aren’t using them then you are missing out on money saving opportunity. I know it can take a bit to get use to and you don’t have to be a extreme coupon clipper. I’m definitely not of those, but make it a habit to check any store you plan to visit to find out if they have coupons available. Even if you are just doing the digital coupons you are still saving money.
