So basically….. this is what I've been up to the past 5 months. If you haven't already speculated by my lack of posts and the sort of questionable roundness popping through my denim shirt in my last entry, then now surely, your hunch is confirmed!!! Willow's going to be a big sister! We're totally over-the-moon excited for our new addition, but at the same time completely nervous. Sleepless nights, zombie-like days and super "uncute" bags beneath the eyes come to mind. Lol.
Anyway, now that my pudgy tummy actually resembles a baby bump I'm ready to show it off. So I figure why not reveal the little bean in my new Roxy bikini. I absolutely love the fit of this set. Comfort and function is key when you're a mom with a toddler clinging and pulling on you in the water, which is why I like the fact that their Twist Bandeau Top comes with a removable halter strap (no accidental boob shots). The cup lining is thin (I hate padded anything) and I like the wideness of the bandeau as it wraps around to the back. I store a little extra "insulation" now and thin straps tend to cut into my back fat in the most uncomfortable way.
As for the the bottom, I tend to favor the minimal coverage kind. I don't like my butt to look "long" (remember the 80's and 90's high cut, high waist kinis??? Ewwww!!!) Low rise, Brazilian is the way to go for me now. Lots of cheek, but not yet a thong. And did you know butt crack is the new cleavage??? Hahaha, really it is! Though this bottom doesn't do that, I just thought you should know. Also this Roxy Sunset collection is mix and match-able. They have really cute palm tree/sunset prints that pair up nicely with the stripes. I have my eye in these bottoms too!
Sorry, this gorgeous chiffon kimono by Wonderland HNL is completely sold out, but Jess is always discovering new pattens and prints we can't live without, so just keep checking Bamboo Sky's instagram for new Wonderland goodness.
