Fancy going to a celtic festival, this summer? If you’re traveling or living in Scotland, then head to Hebridean Celtic Festival which has again been named one of the top 10 UK summer festivals by Songlines.

Based in Stornoway, in the island of Lewis, the Hebridean Celtic Festival (HebCelt) will be held this summer from July 16-19, 2014. The festival’s headliners will include Levellers, Big Country and Donnie Munro.

Award-winning fiddle player Duncan Chisholm will be recognized by the Scottish festival by being invited into the Hebridean Celtic Festival’s Hall of Fame. A solo artist, composer and accompanist, Chisholm was nominated as Musician of the Year in the 2013 Radio 2 Folk Awards.

“The Hebridean Celtic Festival is a jewel in the Scottish music calendar,” says Chisholm. “I was lucky enough to play the first festival and over the years I have seen it grow into a major international event.”
