Danish Luxury Inspiration :: Style Butler Studio

One of the things that makes me feel at home the fastest is to start daydreaming about projects I want to do in my home. As I was flipping through back issues of elle decoration (uk), I came across the incredibly inspiring studio and office space of luxury fashion brand, Style Butler. Started in 2004, the Danish sister duo found quick success with their cashmere knitwear and silk camisoles and have gone on to create many more beautiful lines for their brand over the last few years. Pernille, the sister who designs for the brand and who also lives in Shanghai, finds inspiration through her exotic life away from home, her travels, as well as music, movies, and, of course, women. Her sister, Catherine, runs the business aspect of the company and works out of this gorgeous studio space, designed by Pernille, that overlooks the foggy waters of the Øresund.

Not only I am utterly inspired by this sister duo who have managed to create a successful business while living in two different countries, but I absolutely love how their clothing line and their office space reflects the sisters’ exotic, modern, and sophisticated style. The office is full of beautiful Chinese furniture, luxurious velvet benches, and modern pieces, all put against a striking balance of dark and light walls. It really is beautiful, don’t you think? Definitely has the Danish “hygge”, or cosy feel, as we might say. I think it is a beautiful example of Danish luxury, which is quite different from many of the spaces we might associate with Danish design that are more white and modern.

What do you think of the space? Are you loving it, too? I’m ready to invite myself over!
