LONDON ENTERPRISE FESTIVAL: Talks from some of the Design & Fashion Industry’s Biggest Names

Heads of some of the UK’s top design and fashion brands will soon be coming together in one place to discuss the industry, inspire the next generation and spark discussion. The London Enterprise Festival takes part this March and it plays host to some of the industry’s biggest stars.

The event spans 10 days and is dedicated to fuelling that entrepreneurial spirit. Some of the industry’s most respected names will be there from the likes of Heal’s, Jaeger and Dezeen. It takes place on the 16th March at Camden Foundry. The festival itself spans 10 days but the design and fashion segment is on the 16th. Industry professionals will mingle with budding entrepreneurs.

Panellists include:

  • Will Hobhouse, Chairman, Heal’s
  • Peter Williams, Chairman, Jaeger
  • Marcus Fairs, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Dezeen
  • James Bilefield, Entrepreneur, Investor & Advisor

The festival itself hopes to celebrate entrepreneurship in the capital. With each day focusing on a different field with talks and events with some of the biggest names in that industry.

The industries taking part are communications, education & learning, social enterprise, food & drink, financial services, health & wellbeing, design & fashion and finally gaming.

Peter Williams, Chairman of Jaeger and a speaker at the event had this to say:

The sector is still trying to digest ecommerce; however, the impact of technology on the way we do business has been prominent already, with it meant to account for a quarter of sales in the next few years. It’s a fascinating time to work in online retail; it’s a constantly changing environment, where customers are evolving and adjusting their spending habits to the new offerings, allowing for a more competitive market. Physical and digital shopping will continue to co-exist, however, we need to embrace change. There are definitely opportunities to explore and challenges to tackle, and that’s exactly what I’ m looking forward to discussing with entrepreneurs at the London Enterprise Festival.
