Thou Shalt Pose #3

Back in January, during London Collections: Men, I discovered my new favourite menswear label, Berthold. So obsessed I became with Berthold, that when fashion week loomed on the horizon last month, I knew whose door I was going to be banging on to borrow something FABULOUS to wear.

Raimund, owner and designer of the label, did not disappoint.

Off I went to his rather amazing studio (I’m going to do a little video or post about him in his studio soon, stay tuned) to rummage through his vast collection and samples.

And I skipped out a couple of hours later with a few pieces that I completely fell in love with. This top, made from a neoprene mix, features a zipped up panel that has a shiny, pvc material insert – as shown. Zipped up, and it becomes a crop top on me, but left open like this creates a longer shape (SO me) and a more interesting texture mix.

My jeans are by Vivienne Westwood. They are, like most of my trousers, harem style, and have a veiny, paint splat effect to them. The shoes are old Kurt Geiger ones. And the jacket, in the last couple of pics, is Berthold again. What you might not be able to see here is that it’s an oversized shape, and neoprene again, with a slightly shorter sleeve, rolled up. It was possibly the most comfortable coat I’ve worn.

I just LOVE Berthold and his whole aesthetic, choice of materials, cut and colours.

Check out the Berthold site here for more on the designer.
