NEW! NARS HIGH-INTENSITY EYESHADOW PALETTE

NARS are on a roll. Check this bad boy out. Hot on the heels of the Dual-Intensity blushes which I wrote about here, is the Dial-Intensity Eyshadow Palette.

Encased in a sleek, limited edition mirrored palette, it features eight dual-intensity eyeshadows which can be used wet or dry. Whether you want a softer look or a deep smoky eye, this palette will help you with both choices and more.

I love the embossed pattern on the eyeshadows and I was delighted to see the vast majority of colours were extremely wearable on my skin tone, I didn’t want to ‘ruin’ the palette by swatching them, but alas, needs must! The things I do for you guys, eh?

When used wet, the eyeshasows are so much opaque and packed with pigment. The top four shades are my favourite – very wearable. Europa looks much warmer on my skin, than it does in the swatches. It’s a pretty peachy gold, almost duochrome and catches the light really well. Sycorax is a very intense black. Himalia shows up on me as a pretty metallic gold – love, love this. It’ll pair well with Ursa Major. Subra will look nice smoked out. It’s a lovely purple, with warm undertones. I’m not keen on Andromeda, a light beige which does nothing for me. I’m not that keen on silver eyeshadows either, so Lysithea won’t get much love from me but Giove, a vibrant blackened navy blue will on a night out.

‘Wet’ swatches As pretty as this is, in my opinion, it’s not an absolute must-have. If you like to wear dramatic, smoky eye looks, then you’ll get a lot of wear out it but some may not find the shades diverse enough to warrant the price, which is quite costly.

How much is it? £45
When can I buy it from? Counters nationwide and narscosmetics.co.uk (it’s not up on the site..yet!)
