Making Summer Dresses Wearable Now

Now that the days are lighter and brighter, I’m ready to pull out my colorful prints and am anxiously awaiting the days where I can ditch my coats completely. In the meantime, I’m doing what I can to get my favorite summer dresses out of my closet now. In the Winter, I layered them up with chunky knits and over the knee boots.

This slim fit blazer is a staple of mine that I have in several colors and is the perfect way to quickly make a summer dress look more polished and even work-appropriate. I went with a neutral bag and shoes since the dress is a standout on it’s own and then pulled out a cute pair of yellow earrings I’ve had forever that kind of look like little pineapples – how fitting, right?

If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I have an obsession with rompers and that this Yumi Kim version is one of my all time favorites. Her prints are exquisite and the fit is so flattering for all body types. I love that she will do a variety of styles for each of her prints, so if you like maxi dresses or showing a little skin there’s an option for you!

Maybe the other reason I’m starting to pull out these vibrant prints and summer dresses is because I’m anxiously awaiting a long overdue vacation in a few weeks! More to come on that this week.. hope you all had a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing how you wear your summer dresses now, too!
