Active Mama - November Update

The goal of my Active Mama Series is to keep me motivated to do projects and activities with Violet and not be lazy as I have a tendency to be.

I have what I think is an exciting announcement. After doing this series for a year now I have decided that in January I am going to turn this into a monthly link party. Anyone will be able to link any type of post that is related to an activity, craft. outing, etc that has to do with keeping busy and active with your kiddos. I think it will be awesome to expand into a link party so we can be inspired by other mamas and get more ideas.

I will be working on a button for the 2013 wrap up post I plan on doing at the end of the year. The active mama link party will start on January 28th and will be posted on the 28th each month.

Violet is really loving coloring and playing with stickers this month. She still puts crayons in her mouth occasionally but she is getting a lot better! We made birthday cards for her nana and papa.

We had a few low key play dates with our friends at our house or theirs. We haven't really been out to any of the play places the past month.

We painted Christmas ornaments for family and Violet absolutely loved the paint. She did a fantastic job and is learning her colors. Blue, yellow and pink seem to be the ones she can recognize. She helped me wrap them too. I would ask her which ornament she would want to give someone and she would take great care in looking at all of her options and choose one.

When ordering some Christmas presents I needed a cheap item to add so I could qualify for add on items from Amazon. I bought her this awesome bath crayon from Alex Toys and it is a huge hit!! The clean up fairly easy too.

I can't say enough good things about this crayon, if you are interested here is what it looks like. It's perfect for her little hands.

Other than that and reading a lot of books it has been a low key month preparing for the busy month of December.
