As seen in Captain America!
Usually, the life of a jewelry design company is not much different than any other business {we imagine}. There’s paperwork and deadlines, tech issues and long days where we wished we could’ve just stayed home in bed!
However, every now and then you get the rare chance to be a part of something super cool that shakes the dust off the daily grind and kicks your creative juices into high gear! Well, last summer we had the incredible opportunity to contribute to the blockbuster film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They were putting together the set for an exciting mall scene and we were invited to design our very own viv&ingrid kiosk! It was all hush-hush {we were even sworn to a code name, Project “Freezer Burn”} and of course, and we weren’t even sure if we’d even make the cut!
Fast forward to this past weekend when we rented the movie, anxiously awaiting that scene, when… remote at the ready… BAM! There it was, beautifully on the big screen, in all its blurry Hollywood-style mall kiosk glory! It was a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment and most of the jewelry was blocked by the faux-shopping extras. NEVERTHELESS, we can now proudly proclaim that we have shared the screen with the finest of “specimens”, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson!!
We also confess that we may or may not have rewound/rewatched the scene five-ten times (maybe more, since delirium may have set in by then).
A huge thanks to Marvel for not only making such a fantastic film but putting the time and hard work into building us our very own blockbuster-worthy kiosk… we are truly honored… that you did not cut our scene!
