Cozy Vintage & Edgy Vibes
Whoa, who is that? Yes, I dyed my hair! It is not at all what I had planned, but I guess that's the risk you take when you do it yourself! My hair is currently a work in progress, so bear with me!
Meet my dog Mogley! He conveniently matches my vest rather well, don't you think? He was running about while we were shooting this in my apartment. He is my shadow, my best friend, and my baby! We shot these in the front part of my apartment, in the corner area of my living room. So yes, here is a little peek at my day to day digs. I am sort of in the process of thinking of new ways to organize and decorate. Its very cozy but not always as clean as I wish it would stay! I have been in my own place now for over a year and it has been quite amazing. For those of you who have never lived on your own, it is a sweetness I can barely describe. Especially if you are used to sharing and always having to compromise things with roommates, family, etc. Living on your own is like being your own boss, and the independence is awesome. Of course at times it can be stressful, but very refreshing having no one to answer to.
My fuzzy vest I found at Forever 21 a few years back. It is a good winter/fall piece for layering and also makes quite the statement. Since its just plain off-white, I wanted to put something bright with it. What better than pairing it with a crazy colored, cozy sweater that I have been waiting to wear again since last winter?! This sweater is definitely one of the funkiest tops I own, and is super warm. Its vintage and I found it thrift store hunting earlier this year, I believe.
The pants are also Forever 21 and my boots I found years ago at Aldo. I am seriously loving the contrast of my crazy sweater paired with my more boho fur vest, whilst adding a rough edge to my look with my boots and skinny jeans. Lets not forget my trusty leather studded bag as well! I am always pulling ideas from all different trends, and I love trying new things together. Like I stated before, doing so allows for endless outfit options. Since I love so many styles, some days I feel more boho, other days I want to be gothic-ish, or sometimes I want to look extreme casual with hints of preppy. One thing that is certainly constant about my style is my use of color. I love color!
