live for the weekends

I absolutely live for the weekends. Two precious days of not dealing with work. Not that my job is one of those jobs where you just “deal with stuff.” But free time is nice time. I spent Saturday in Daejeon kicking it with my dear friend Kristina (the other half of “DORISTINA”). As usual, we ate, walked around, ate some more, walked around, and went to Homeplus. We had lunch at Outback Steakhouse and went to Wicked Snow for dessert. Wicked Snow does the new take on patbingsoo. It’s more like the Taiwanese style shaved ice where the ice is super fine vs. simply shaved.

We also got Kristina’s bus ticket near the Govt. Complex bus stop. After that, we headed towards my favorite place in all of Korea – HOMEPLUS! The Dunsan Hompelus has renovated since February (when I last went). It has a Trader Joe’s feel to it. There are newly imported products everywhere. That is just another sign that I need to move back to Daejeon.

Today, I saw Planet of the Apes with Richard. The movie wasn’t what I expected. The subtitles for when the apes talked were all in Korean so I had to guess on some of the dialogue. I like going to the movies so it was still a good time.

Back to work tomorrow. 5 days of repetition and then it’s the weekend again. I guess the more I work, the faster time will pass by. Goodbye!
