Best Shampoo and Conditioner for Very Dry Hair | Argan+
A few months ago my hair was feeling very dry on the ends and in desperate need of some nourishment all over. I put the dryness down to lots of travelling where the sun has frazzled my blonde locks. To nurse my hair back to good health, I went in search of a shampoo and conditioner for dry hair which was quite an unusual quest for me as my hair is very greasy at the roots and usually only a little dry on the ends.
My search lead me to Argan and their Deep Repair Shampoo and Conditioner.
The Argan Deep Repair Shampoo is formulated with Argan Oil which is rich in Vitamin E (this vitamin helps the hair to grow faster and appear shinier and healthier), a blend of Amino Acids which help to repair and strengthen the hair, and Keratin and Baobab Oil which help to strengthen and moisturise the hair. The Argan Deep Repair Conditioner boasts similar ingredients including the Argan Synergy which is unique to Argan products. This is a blend of Moroccan Argan Oil with Baobab, Kukui, Moringa and Sacha Inci oils which have all been selected by Argan for their restorative, regenerating and nourishing properties.
I found when my hair was at its driest, the shampoo lathered up really well, which I definitely like, and it did a good job at cleaning my hair, without stripping it or making it feel drier. During this time, the conditioner was particularly good at deeply nourishing my hair and making it feel very moisturised, especially when left on my hair for a little longer than usual, as more of a hair mask. After using the duo, my hair looked very healthy and shiny and although it felt very soft, it felt much stronger than before I started using it. My hair was also a lot more manageable after using this shampoo and conditioner as it worked as a good detangler in my hair.
Once my hair was back to the way that it usually is, I found that the deep nourishment that this shampoo and conditioner gives seemed to be a little too much for my hair and it weighted my hair down and made it feel greasier much more quickly, which was surprising to me as it had worked so well in my hair when it was very dry and frazzled. With that in mind, I would really recommend this shampoo and conditioner to those who it is intended for; those with very dry or damaged hair.
It is really effective at deeply nourishing the hair and giving it strength and shine which I think would be perfect for those with damaged hair and dry, brittle hair.
