WhatLauraWore: Cobalt Blue, Polaroid and Princess Hair

March is here! Lets all give it one final round of applause and move on to lighter, brighter makeup and slightly less layers shall we?

Instagram is FULL of welcome to March style pictures at the moment and part of me is loving it and the other part is a little disgruntled that we're three months into the year and the snow is still threatening to fall where I live.

Nevertheless, the nights are starting to get that little bit lighter and we have had a few days where it hasn't been necessary to take my parka out with me. Today's post is all about what I wear on one of those days.

Starting off with this gorgeous cobalt blue open work jumper from JD Williams. This jumper is available in a whole host of beautiful shades (including lemon which I'm really tempted to order!) but I was really drawn to the blue as I thought it would be perfect to brighten up my wardrobe. I don't wear a lot of blue or green but I think that it quite suits me so I'm making a conscious effort to wear it more often!

This jumper has a really great open stitch but it would be quite revealing if I didn't pop my cream coloured cami underneath! I love the cobalt colour and I find that it is really wearable for the winter months going into the spring. It looks awesome with jeans for a really casual but still put together look. To compliment the blue of the jumper, I wore one of my most beautiful scarves from Primark.

I'm wearing my jumper and cami combo with my favourite wannabe jeans from ASOS. These babies are SO comfortable; they look like jeans but they're actually leggings. Whoever came up with the simple design for these is an absolute jean-ius!

I've got my hair in one of my signature haven't got time but want to look cute and girlie styles and I'm wearing my new sunglasses by Polaroid. These are the Polaroid PLD4006S Havana PZO from the Sunglasses Shop and they're absolutely fabulous. I adore how large they are which is perfect for those days where I'm feeling a little tired (read: hungover) as I just pop these on and they instantly look chic.

The frames are tortoiseshell which I find suit the vast majority of people, especially blondes. The great thing about them is that they have polarised lenses so they're really clear to see through and as they're so large, the really block the glare from the sun. I'll have a full review of these coming up very soon!

For jewellery, I'm actually wearing quite a few simple pieces.

First of all there's my gorgeous Amirra ring from Harry Fay which features a beautiful sapphire and cubic zirconia jewels in a silver setting. There's so many beautiful styles available on Harry Fay and I'd urge you to check them out, especially as they sell all ring sizes and offer a free exchange service if you choose the wrong size or want a different fit. Use discount code whatlauraloves at the checkout to get 15% off your entire order!

When I was putting this outfit post together I started looking through my polishes and was over the moon to find a nail colour that so closely complimented the sapphire of the ring and the cobalt of the jumper. This is the Sonic Blue nail polish from the Work The Colour line by Collection. These have such a fabulous formula, especially for their super low price.

Here is a closer shot of my makeup too. It is a very basic look that is easy to achieve using products to give you light, glowing skin and rosy red cheeks and lips. I posted a tutorial and a run down of all of the products that I used, including some mini reviews, in this post here.

The other jewellery pieces that I'm wearing are all from Jewellery Box.

The silver brushed heart studs, initial necklace and woven bracelet are all so cute and excellent quality for the price. I have a full post all on my Jewellery Box pieces here but if you'd like to browse their website and order, perhaps with Mother's Day coming up, then be sure to enter the discount code whatlauraloves at the check out to get 10% off your whole purchase. Orders over £10 also qualify for free delivery.

For my bag, I'm carrying none other than my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in biscuit.

I absolutely adore this bag as it holds everything that I need for a day out. Its funny because when I bought it I thought I would get a lot of use out of it but I didn't realise just how much I would end up wearing it. It goes with SO many different outfits and looks great whether I'm wearing it on a night out or during the day. Bravo Minkoff, I'd buy you in every colour if I could!

Lastly, these babies are from New Look. They're the Zip Slide Slip On Plimsoles and I have them in this gorgeous nude colour that I can't for the life of me find online. However I have found the white version here.

These are from the wide fit range that New Look sell and they are seriously wide fit. I feel like I'm wearing boats on my feet when I have these on but they are so comfortable its unreal. I'm so pleased I picked these up when I spotted them because they've been one of my favourite buys so far this year.
