WhatLauraWore: Missguided Scuba Skater Dress

Another day, another Missguided dress. It seems as though there's not a day that goes by that I'm not wearing something from Missguided or lusting after pieces on their website.

This time its the Plus Size Ribbed Scuba Skater Dress in this beautiful shade of green. When I was younger I used to hate the colour green but as I've got older it has become a colour that I'm drawn to more and more. The first time that I met my hubby he was wearing green and its a colour that I always associate with him so perhaps thats why. This shade is absolutely stunning as it is deep and quite jewel toned making it the perfect option for wearing during the day or at night.

Aside from the stunning colour, my favourite thing about this dress has to be the ribbed scuba material. Until I tried this dress, I'd never tried on a garment in the scuba style material as I didn't think that it would suit me but it does and I actually find it to be very flattering.

The shape of this dress is fabulous too as it is a skater shape which is my favourite style of dress. The top is pretty fitted with close fitting cropped sleeves and a skirt that extends out from the waistline to create the fun and flirty skater shape.

Length wise, I am yet to find a dress from Missguided that isn't perfect and this one is exactly the same. It is the ideal length, hitting just above the knee. So many plus size dresses seem to get wider but not longer as they go up in size whereas the Missguided ones have the length of their garments down to a T.

This dress is very true to size in the main body of the dress but as the sleeves are quite close fitting, those with larger arms may find themselves struggling a little.

If you like the look of my makeup in this post, you can check out a full how to in my latest makeup look post here. Golden shimmery eyes and a pop of colour on the lips compliments the hue of this dress beautifully.

The golden tones work so well with green which was what inspired me to pair a gold bracelet, sparkly gold earrings and a gold toned handbag with it.

As it was pretty chilly, I decided to wear my trusty plus size leggings with the dress and, as I was wearing it for shopping and to the cinema during the day, I popped on the most comfortable pair of flats that I have ever owned, from Michael Kors. They aren't the cheapest flat, black shoes out there but they're the comfiest and for that reason alone, they were worth every penny.

You'll find all of the links below to everything that I'm wearing in the post. I think this is the first time EVER that every single piece that I'm wearing is current and available to buy online directly from this post!
