We spent out last 2 days in Florida relaxing in Saint Augustine. On Sunday, we had a quick lunch then took a walk down to the pier. That bird speaks the truth, Vilano Beach is happiness!
Later that day, we headed down to the beach. It was a warm, yet overcast day. Aron and his dad played in the waves, and I took a few videos of the ocean.
Later that night, my mom came by for dinner, then Annie came up to hang out for a while. It is always so good to see family and loved ones!
Little pineapple tree at my in-laws' home. The last day of a trip home is always bittersweet for me. I'd visited with family and friends, walked on the beach, and even taken a few moments to breathe and relax. It's difficult to leave everyone and go back to the daily grind. But, I realize that we have a good life here in Tennessee, and our Florida friends and family are just a flight away.
Our trip home was much less stressful than our near-miss flight to Florida. There was about an hour and a half delay, so we hung out in the bar for a bit, and I pursed Florida souvenirs in the airport gift shops.
I also picked up one of these bad boys while we were waiting. So wrong, yet ohhh so right.
