Keeping Up with the Cambridges-February 8

The Cambridge clan have returned to chilly London town relaxed, tanned, and ready to take on some royal engagements! So without further ado…

This Week:

  • February 2- Seeking advice or recommendations Kate style? Our new series will answer all of your questions! WWKD’s new monthly column “Dear Duchess” will strive to see the world through Kate’s eyes. Read more about it here!
  • February 2- Want to be bejeweled like a Duchess? Now you can! The stunning clover drop earrings worn by Kate when she was in New York have been re-released, and re-named. The dazzling cubic zirconia drops by American designer Kenneth Jay Lane have been dubbed “The Duchess Clover Earring” after they made headlines on one of the world’s most famous royal women. The intricately detailed earrings would add just the right amount of sparkle to any occasion, and at $125 you can’t go wrong!

  • February 5- What’s old is new again! On Thursday, a couple of older photos of Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge were seen publicly for the first time thanks to the world wide web. The first would be unladylike of us to share, so if you want to see Kate eating a sandwich you’ll have to look elsewhere. As for the second picture, The Duchess is seen entering The Goring hotel for the 1851 Trust meeting back in December wearing a navy pleated dress, a black Alexander McQueen coat, and her Jimmy Choo “Aimee” pumps. Just when you think you’ve seen them all, another one pops up!

  • February 7- BAFTA Bash? On Saturday evening, a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) reception was held at Kensington Palace for this year’s nominees. The rumor was that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted the event, however there has been no confirmation. Rosamund Pike, Amy Adams, and Benedict Cumberbatch are just a few of the guests who attended the star-studded private event. Photographs are not expected, but if anything pops up we’ll be sure to let you know!

Next Week:

  • February 12- On Thursday, the Duchess of Cambridge will attend the 1851 Trust’s new headquarters, located in Portsmouth. Catherine will tour the facility, and meet with students at Ben Ainslie Racing.
