car trash bag :: fabric destash

In what feels like forever my sewing machine is finally setup where I can actually use it!

Of course with Baby G, I don’t have the same amount of time (or freedom) to sew but I am going to try.

My first post-baby project was a simple car trash bag. Something that I could put a plastic bag in but didn’t look horrid. I used two tutorials (tutorial 1 & tutorial 2) and took what I liked from each to make it, plus added velcro to the straps so I can easily remove if needed. I also destashed some left over fabric which I’m working on doing.

This project took me two days to sew and well over a week if not longer to blog; pre-baby it would have only taken about 30 minutes to complete and a few minutes to blog!
