1. What is your favorite flower?
California poppies at the Antelope Valley.

2. What is your favorite vegetable?
Probably perilla leaves.

3. What is your favorite season and why?
Spring in Los Angeles.

4. Organic or Heirloom or don’t care?
No preference.

5. What do you grow? If you don’t grow anything currently, what would you like to grow?
I had some green bean plants but only got to eat a few before they mysteriously died. I’d like some sort of citrus tree.

6. Favorite terrain: Mountains, Desert, Beach, Plains?
Beach.

7. What is the scariest thing in nature?
Apparently spiders as one caused me to flip my car over.

8. What is the most impressive thing in nature?
Evolution, genetics, biodiversity.

9. What sounds do you like to fall asleep to?
Nothing much.

10. If you could change one thing about humanity’s relationship with nature, what would it be?
Denial of nature’s sentience.

11. What is your spirit animal?
Capybara

12. What’s the best and worst part of living where you live?
Best: Weather, of course.
Worst: Traffic, of course.

13. If you could be the first to explore a place, where would it have been? Why?
Outer space. Or the future. Aliens and stuff.

14. When were you the happiest in nature?
Swimming in the ocean.…
