Cabin Fever

Fireside

My last post from Finland! I hope you’re not too fed up with the snow yet, I know I wasn’t when I was there. It was just such a beautiful location, we couldn’t help but take photographs at every opportunity.

This set was in a quiet moment between wrapping up and heading out for activities (the failure that was my attempt at cross-country skiing I do believe). The heating was always cranked up in our little wooden cabin, meaning that whenever we’d return from the snow it was completely necessary to strip off. It’s the only place I’d ever bothered to make outfit changes halfway through the day…move over London Fashion Week.

Both times I’ve been to Finland I’ve admired the way people there spend time in nature. Aside from lugging cameras and phones around, it made such a change to be in the outdoors, being physical, falling over and not worrying about getting messy, spotting squirrels from the window at breakfast and spending far too long watching reindeer.

This won’t be the only time I’m in Scandinavia this year, I’m pleased to say!

Now, less of this snow and on to enjoy the spring weather! x
