Going for a dip

I’d travelled to Barcelona for the first time a couple of years ago, and whilst I was there I had a rather packed schedule, meaning I didn’t get to experience the city to it’s fullest. Despite having a bit of

a rocky start, the rest of the trip was all about appreciating the sights and flavours of the city. I didn’t even spot the sea on my first trip, so I was thrilled we were spending our second night at Le Merdien Ra, a spa hotel located right on the coast. So much so that my room was a couple of steps away from the sand.

I’m usually more of a city girl than a beachy one, but this little bit of quiet time was very welcome after pounding the streets in the busy city for a couple of days. To be able to experience the bustle of the city and then pop your feet in the Med at the end of the day is pretty bloomin’ cool.

My pale pins certainly needed to sit in the sun for a while. They’re still not quite the shade I’d like them to be, but after a couple of sunny trips this year, we’re getting there slowly..!

Next stop: Portugal.
