Me and denim have a bit of a funny relationship. There were years where I completely swore off jeans in favour of pretty dresses, but it didn’t take me too long to realise what a wardrobe staple they are, and that the humble jeans and tee combo is nothing to be sniffed at.

In fact, it’s usually my go-to weekend look now, and I’ve amassed a collection of slightly varying denim that now warrants it’s own section in the wardrobe, because as I’m sure you’ll know, there is always an ongoing quest to find the ‘perfect pair’.

I was recently invited into Hollister to do just that – pick out my perfect pair of jeans. I’ll admit, it definitely wouldn’t be the first store that would come to mind when I’d think about going denim shopping, but when I arrived at the Regent St store I was pleasantly surprised by a room dedicated to the stuff – wall to wall with different styles and washes.

That’s what I love about getting the opportunity to work with brands I might not have considered before – I get to discover gems like this. I ended up leaving with a pair of boyfriend jeans, girlfriend jeans and flares in hand – all of which I’ve been wearing non-stop since – and so far, so good!

I took the boyfriend jeans out for a test run in Camden at the weekend. It turns out that Camden on a Sunday wasn’t the greatest idea I’ve ever had, so we escaped along the canal.

The perfect pair? Perhaps! Watch this space.
