Trailer Watch Tuesdays: They Die By Dawn (2012)

Most mainstream western movies omit black actors altogether as if black men and women didn't ride in the American West back in the day. So it was really refreshing to come across this trailer for They Die by Dawn.

Written & directed by Jeymes Samuel, the movie follows four outlaws each with a bounty on their head who set a date for a shootout in Langston, Oklahoma. The last man will the bounty for all of them.

The film stars an impressive cast that includes Michael K. Williams, Giancarlo Esposito, Rosario Dawson, Jesse Williams and Erykah Badu.

Where you can see it: It looks like this movie has only had a limited release so far. According to the Twitter account for the film, they've done some screenings in New York this year already. Follow their tweets to get more info on potential upcoming screenings in your area.
