I’m a hot mess

I’m to the point now where I’ve aired all of my dirty laundry for so long that it doesn’t even smell dirty anymore. So rather than list off all of my issues right on my homepage, I decided to write a post about how I’m a hot mess.

When ones thoughts or appearance are in a state of disarray but they maintain an undeniable attractiveness or beauty. (Source: Urban Dictionary)

There are many reasons I’m a hot mess:

• I’m funny.
• I’m serious.
• I’m not seriously funny.
• I’m in my 30s and am still not married. It’s so sad that I write letters to my future husband.
• In one of my letters, I share with him that I am a (recovering) porn addict.
• I’m a thyroid cancer survivor that likes to clean her toilet.
• I did a facebook experiment once where I deleted all of my friends and then added strangers. The thing is, my new facebook friends got me some really awesome gigs.
• My new Facebook friends discovered my story about mental illness and invited me to share my story about having balls and being a stigma fighter.
• Then I started meeting my new Facebook friends in real life. One of them helped me find the opportunity to curate content for FaithIt.com.
• I’ve written blog posts on Huffington Post about having Bipolar, OCD, and PTSD and about what it feels like to be a single woman while everyone else has kids.
• There are probably many more that I’ve shared in the It’s Personal category of my posts.

The real message here though is that all humans are a hot mess. Jesus came to earth for that reason. Thank God he died on a cross for my sins!
