Saturday Superstars #4

1. Summery Watermelon Salad from Ashley’s Dandelion Wishes

This refreshing salad combines the flavors of watermelon, mint, and raspberry sprinkled with lime juice. It’s the perfect summer salad. The bright red, juicy fruits look amazing paired with the crisp mint leaves. Delicious!

2. Rainbow Cakes Recipe @ I Pinned It

I am in LOVE with these neon colored cakes and the squiggly candles used as decoration! I need to get me some neon food coloring, because I am obsessed with brightly colored cakes and I am determined to make these. I want a teal cake, dangit! Also included here is a cream cheese frosting recipe that looks to DIE FOR—I’ll be whipping that one up soon for sure!

3. Peppermint Foot and Body Scrub from Eyes on the Source

I don’t know about you, but I seriously struggle with dry skin this time of year, especially on my heels. I am constantly wearing sandals or going barefooted during the summer, and my feet pay the price. Not to mention, I spend hours walking and exploring in all my summer free time—resulting in super, super sore and tired feet! This peppermint salt scrub looks like the perfect cure for that, and it only uses a few ingredients that you probably already have on hand (coconut oil, peppermint oil, and salt!).

4. Patriotic Paper Flowers from Live Laugh Rowe

I am still loving everything red, white, and blue that I can get my hands on. These paper flowers are just too cute and too creative! I also love that they’re fairly simple to create as well—just cut circles from scrapbook paper, cut slits all the way around, fold the petals in half, layer, & secure with a brad. I’m pretty sure anyone can pull that off!

5. Spiced Apple Magic Bars from Architecture of a Mom

Magic bars always remind me of the 7 Layer Cookie Magic Bars my mom always makes at Christmas. I love all the different varieties that are filling the interwebs these days. If you haven’t seen these, they’re very simple—a cake mix crust with your choice of toppings, all drizzled with sweetened condensed milk… yum!

6. Beachy Mason Jar Terrarium from Making Home Base

If you know anything about me by now, dear reader, you might know about my slight obsession with mason jars. Growing up in California, I also have a passion for the beach. Imagine my delight when I ran across this Beachy Mason Jar Terrarium! What a clever and adorable way to display your summer beach trip treasures!

7. Strawberries & Blueberries in Lemon Crème from My Turn for Us

Here’s another fantastic refreshing and light dessert for these hot summer months. I am so addicted to fruit this time of year, especially fruit desserts! I am addicted to anything with lemon, and this recipe features a super simple crème made from yogurt, cream cheese, and lemon zest. Sounds delicious to me!

8. Scalloped Envelope Clutch Free Pattern from The Cottage Home

I haven’t had much time to sew lately, with the end of the school year and our vacation to Vegas this past week… but once I get back on the crafty train, I think I’ll try my hand at this adorable scalloped clutch. It looks so gorgeous done in these complementary patterns; I just love these colors! The scalloped edge just makes the whole design for me.

9. Lemonade Cupcakes from Don’t Mess With my Tutus

I am so obsessed with lemonade right now! I seriously drink at least three or four cups a day. What a clever idea to make it into cupcake form—these could be really dangerous in my house! Yum.

10. Raspberry Key Lime Italian Sodas at Will Cook For Smiles

I love this simple way of making your own Italian sodas at home—none of that sugary, messy syrup needed. Using the fresh fruit with club soda looks so delicious and amazing! I haven’t ever used key limes at home before, but now I’m dying to try this!

I hope you find inspiration in a few of these projects, dear reader–put that weekend to use!

Have a great one.
