Finding My Forever. Matte Lip Color by Kevyn Aucoin.
This is the lipstick I wore for my wedding.
I loved the color first before I realized how à propos the name was.
Forever Matte Lip Color by Kevyn Aucoin is the perfect pink.
Perfect in the sense that if lipsticks came out of a crayola box, this one would be the one labeled pink.
The undertone is neither blue nor red. It is just a bright vibrant pink.
It comes in a slim, twist-up applicator.
Despite the fact that it is touted as a moisturizing lipstick, it does feel a bit on the dry side. It is formulated with vitamin E and lecithin (an antioxidant) to help nourish and protect the lips.
The texture feels velvety and soft and it goes on smoothly.
Alas! The Forever lipstick does not, in fact, stay on forever.
But it does manage to keep its brilliance for a good several hours.
The trick is to apply with a lip brush, blot, and re-apply a second layer.
This is a lipstick for people who do not shy away from colors.
