Diaries of a white mother raising a black baby
21
When we adopted a black baby girl as a white couple there were things we were never told.
We didn't get the usual 'do's' and 'don'ts' because
no-one quite knew what to say.
Two and a bit years on we've learnt some things the hard way, like you shouldn't put anything with velcro near aforementioned baby's hair. It sticks.
