I am an urban creature who anxiously looks for an absence of urbanity. I am lonely without company, yet I long for solitude. I fully exploit the convenience of the city but I romanticize the hardships of life without that convenience. I live within shouting proximity of at least 50 people and still only recognize 3 of them.
This blog is an attempt to understand contradictions in the spaces we inhabit, whether given or constructed. The role of place-making in our social environment is understudied and undervalued. Space is too often defined by those who don’t participate in its design, yet the majority of inhabitation is constructed. Space matters.
