A recessionista before it was vogue to be one, my name is Heather and I'm a 28-year-old Missouri-based photographer, writer and web designer. First and foremost a bargain connoisseur, regular readers will probably notice the abundance of items in my wardrobe that were acquired for a buck or two. There's nothing I love more than a thrift store or a clearance rack, and my master bedroom-turned-walk-through-closet can attest to that. With Clearance Couture, I hope to provide readers tips on scoring quality low-priced clothing as well as offer helpful hints that I've learned over the course of many penny-pinching adventures.
