DC Part ONE

So when Mason and G had an opportunity to head to camp this week I started thinking about what Luke and I could get up to and came up with taking him to DC.

Seven Questions

Happy Tuesday, friends! Today I'm answering seven questions I've received recently.  If you want to see the rest of these seven questions posts try googling "Momfessionals seven questions" and a TON of posts will pop up! 

Gift cards ALWAYS!  They get a bad rap for being impersonal but I 1000% promise you that a little note about "grabbing their morning cup" on you or taking their kids out for an ice cream cone or even a "heard you love audiobooks - here's one on on us!" sort of thing is SO THOUGHTFUL!  

Red, White and Blue Muffins

As we kick off red, white and blue season today I wanted to reshare one of my summer staples.  

They're FULL of fresh berries and as long as you have 3 cups ANY berries will do.  Suit them to your own tastes and voila! Easy breakfast or snack ;)

Well - our first week of summer is in the books and, much to my chagrin, it was BUSY!

Griffin's FAVORITE was having cheer camp all week ;) She has loved every second and the parents got to pop in at the end yesterday for a little showcase and it was so good!

G's Shoes and Swimming Party

Griffin's 11th birthday was back in April and between sports and school activities and one million other things we couldn't find a day/time to plan a birthday party for G so we decided to push it into summer break which ended up being the best thing EVER!  Believe it or not, G had never had an "at home" birthday party before and she dubbed this THE BEST PARTY EVER! :)

Boursin Brussels

If you were to look at the instagram messaging between me and my friend Meagan you would see memes and ridiculously delicious-looking recipes.  One of the recipes that she shared with me was this Boursin cheese Brussels sprouts recipe and OH MY WORD it was delicious!

San Diego Posts in one place

Last year I wrote a post recapping our Summer 2022 trip to NYC and lots of y'all have since written to tell me how helpful you found the post and so today I decided to to the same thing for our California trip last summer.  It was SUCH a great trip 

Click HERE for part 1 where I talked about the logistics of getting there, our thoughts on the airport and traffic (OH MY WORD!!!).  I've heard from others since posting that we should have flown into John Wayne and in hindsight that would FOR SURE be something we'd consider if we were going to Anaheim again and not straight to San Deigo.

Weekend Recap

 This was our first weekend of summer and we had THE BEST TIME!!!

On Friday Luke had his last two exams and I had a staff meeting and lunch so it was these give home by themeselves in the morning and I laughed so hard at this pic they sent our family group text...

WHAT A WEEK!!!  It's officially summer and WE ARE READY!  Mason, G and I finished up yesterday and Luke finished up today with his last two exams and then we're free for SUMMER!  PHEW!

This post is pretty much just going to chronicle G's last week of elementary school because, honestly, all of her activities and then exams are really all we've been up to.

Sky Ranch

If you've been reading my blog for any amount of time you probably know that we LOVE Sky Ranch.   It started back in 2017 when the boys went to Day Camp at MCA and to say we were all in would be the understatement of the year.  I mean - here's photographic proof of how in we were ;)
