BetterPress-1st and 2nd Press-stamping

First of all, I hope this post finds you well. In case that you are wondering why I do not post as often as I used to....

(this is me looking out to Johns Hopkins Glacier)

Well, I have been taking a small break from card-making/blogging in the last few weeks. I did more traveling this time and the last Alaska cruise from 2 weeks ago was absolutely amazing. We started the trip with Vancouver where I met up with my nephew and did some sightseeing. Then we boarded Holland America Cruise to embark the 7-night cruise to Alaska.

 

For the background, I used the 2nd generation from the BetterPress.

 

For the focal point, I applied bright ink and press in the ink onto paper and die cut it.

The sentiment I used is from the Cheers To You Sentiment BetterPress Die .

Like stamping, the 1st and 2nd generation of BetterPress definitely give you more bang with the bucks. Let's face it, these BetterPress Dies are not cheap. Therefore, to make good use of these dies is a huge plus! I always feel better when I can do multiple ways with the products.

I adore the banner sentiment from e Cheers To You Sentiment BetterPress Die . I added some gold twines and sequins. The popped-up focal point gives the right pizzazz!

Well, it's time to add some stamping in the mix. Today's project is one of those and I love it!  

In this project I paired it with Spellbinders April release. 

 The Sprigs Registration BetterPress and Die Set from Cheers to You Collection is absolutely gorgeous.

You may ask how the design came about? I actually had extra pieces of pressed image with Sprigs Registration BetterPress and Die Set

With that vibrant solid floral images in mind, I stamped the Flower Shower Cling Stamp from the Spring has Sprung Collection.

Inking Up the BetterPress Cover Plate

 Hello friends!

I am back with a CAS look with the Buffalo Plaid Press Plate.

THIS collection is lovely! as I use one of the sentiment from Flower Market set.

For this cover plate, it will be very easy to use just one color. 

 But of course, I like to "complicate" things and made it two tones.

 I love the multiple sentiments. Sometimes, repeating them makes the sentiment extra special. Cheers to You Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set provides a great option for this. 

The diecut banners "you did it" make this card a standout, in my opinion. The two colors of inks are from Desert Sunset ( Spellbinders,  Scrapbook. com, Simon Says Stamp)

 With the BetterPress Design and mechanism, you can press them over and over. But mind you, you will still need to adhere one of the paper with tape to ensure the precise stamping/pressing.

BetterPress- 2nd Generation Impression

Ever wonder what to do with the "leftover" ink on your BetterPress Ink?  This "from All of Us" card is from the first generation impression.

 

Today's project shows what I did with the 2nd generation of impression. 

  I used the Cheers To You Sentiment BetterPress Die for sentiment.

As the blog post tittle suggests, this card has many colors and yet it required no coloring at all.

I took out the ink pad and started applying them in different areas. Using Mini Ink Pad like THIS

, THIS or THIS is ideal.

It is OK to cross- contamination the ink pads a bit as the amount of contamination is quite minimal.

I thought it is a good idea to change up the card-stock a bit. I chose the cream color instead of white.

BetterPress And Die-cutting

I am delighted to share a new project with Spellbinders April release. 

This time, I created the card with the BetterPress And Die-cutting combined.  The Sprigs Registration BetterPress and Die Set from Cheers to You Collection is absolutely gorgeous.

 I am a color lover, therefore, I still do love using the BetterPress with multiple colors of inks.

Create a Project with Altenew -->Old+New Products

 Hi friends!

I am delighted to share a NEW projects with Old and New products. The company Altenew's name originates from old (Alt in German). When you combine Alte and New, that became Altenew.

I have a few ideas to share on this project. It is always a good idea to mix and match with your stamp sets and dies. Often times, the result is almost always quite nice and unique!

 Noticed how I re-arranged the Stunning Sakura Bundle by trimming off the branch and fitted them into the Versatile Vases? They totally worked!

 My next idea is to use the embossing folder creatively in a different way. Instead of using From Land To Sea 3D Embossing Folder  as in the landscape, I tilted the folder upside down and used it for added textures.

 My last idea is to use pattern paper to bring out the COLORS! Stamps and dies are awesome, but do you know that the pattern paper really add those extra pops of colors? I inked up the BetterPress Dies with various colors and then ran it through the Platinum Machine (New and Improved Universal system)

For the extra interest, I added a small piece of Buffalo Plaid Press Plate. As you can see the Buffalo Plaid Press Plate details are amazing.

This peony image is so fine and simple. I came up with a few more versions and can't wait to share.

The black frame works quite well with the Buffalo Plaid Press Plate and give the entire design a cohesive look. THIS collection is too cute as I use one of the sentiment from Flower Market set.
