slip on

My perpetual wanderlust has spawned a growing stash of hotel slippers in my closet, all picked and packed to pass as The Row's $990 Frances house slippers, above. While none of them is crafted from fine silk terry or with soled with leather, they'll do--for now. That being said, I did buy myself a great dupe for The Row's already sold-out summer shoe--the Mara Flat--by Jeffrey Campbell, below, which believe it or not, is also nearly out of stock! They're hotel slipper-comfy and partner nicely with my new go-to white carpenter jeans from Pistola! Highly recommend!

more on miami

In response to the boatloads of DM's inquiring about what I wore in Miami this past weekend, here are some more details. For dinner at Lucali, above, I wore a new Agua by Agua Bendita dress, and to the beach, a floral Ulla Johnson bikini, J.Crew leather sandals, Adina Reyter necklaces and charms, a super lightweight Merlette maxi, and a lace Johnny Was cover-up/dress. Also packed (last two pics) but not photographed: the Anthropologie cutwork tunic and the And Other Stories crochet set, plus this insane Christopher Esber one-piece, which you see me in on future getaways.

I traveled to hot summer days and back this weekend, sunning it up in Miami for a quick 48 hours before returning to May-Gray LA! The quick getaway afforded me an opportunity to test-drive some new favorite 90-degrees-in-the-shade styles by Cesta Collective including the Taco Tote bag, which doubled as an extra spacious carry-on and beach bag, above, the tie-and-go print pareo (I have/wore in another color way last summer), and the bow-trimmed Party Pail, last pic. I'm officially ready for summer!

stacked!

I was all smiles last night, surrounded by friends--all smart, creative and industrious women with successful businesses under their belts, with abundantly more to be made. We gathered at my home and talked Substack, how we use the blossoming platform to create and consume content. (In case you haven't read mine yet, click here!) My party co-hosts and fellow Substackers Molly Sims and Meg Strachan kept the conversation flowing with guests like Clare Vivier, Caroline Baudino, Michele Ouellet, Alessandra CodinhaLacey WhiteKnockout Beauty's Cayli Cavaco Reck, Janessa Leone, Jacey Duprie, Doen's Nandita Khanan and GOOP's Noora Raj Brown. Of course, we ate well, too, thanks to event designer Olivia Muniak, above, lounged outside on my new Coco Republic outdoor furniture set, below, and post-party pampered with YSE BeautyMeg Strachan also gave me a sneak peek at a not-yet-launched turquoise Dorsey necklace, below, which soon will be added to my Adina Reyter stack, expertly captured last night by Victoria Lampley of The Stax. Also compelling: the new spring fashion on display, including Gabriella Gofis's belted Soeur jacket, celebrity makeup artist Monika Blunder's pearl-trimmed J.Crew blouse, this eyelet Doen, this striped Staud, these bow-trimmed sandals from The Row and my blossom-trimmed top, below.

pinch hitter

I call them my statement staples. Dramatic and outfit-punctuating, they take a pair of jeans across the finished-dressing line within seconds. They get me out the door quickly and efficiently. And I can't get enough of them! I just scored a few more: the striped Staud above, the fringed Christopher Esber, the Sea New York one-and-done lace trimmed dress and the scarf top, below.
