Detox Bath Bombs For Your Kids

While most bath bombs from leading brands are safe for your children, it is always better to read the ingredients and check if your child is allergic to any of them. Sometimes, synthetic fragrances and colorants can irritate the skin of your child. So, it is better to avoid these bombs if they come with these ingredients.

You can find bath bombs that are made especially for kids on the market, but in case you haven’t chanced upon such products, try making them yourself at home using only kid-friendly ingredients. If you’re looking to give your child a relaxing and beneficial detox bathing experience, your own homemade detox bath bombs will be a good idea.

How to make DIY detox bath bomb

In case you want your child to bathe with detox bomb, here is a simple and easy recipe to make it. The ingredients used in the recipe can be naturally sourced, and the process is quick and hassle-free.

You can start out by placing a large bowl, and adding one cup of baking soda, half a cup of citric acid, half a cup of Epsom salt, and half a cup of corn starch. Once you’ve added them, mix them well with a wooden ladle.

Now, as you start mixing the ingredients, try adding two tablespoons of melted coconut oil, bit by bit. Once you’re done, add five to six drops of any preferred essential oil. Follow this up by wearing a pair of clean gloves and mixing everything in the bowl.

If you find the ingredients getting tight, sprinkle some water on it, but do not use big amounts of water as it will directly activate the fizzy function of the bomb.

If you are using organic colorants, divide the mixtures in individual bowls and start adding color to each of them. Finally, take the bath bomb molds and fill every individual side of them with your mixture. You can also spike up the fun by adding a small, mini figure inside it.

Once you’re done adding the mixture, tap along the molds with your hand or spoon. This will prevent sticking. Additionally, you can also add a dash of coconut oil to prevent your bombs from sticking to molds.

After you’ve completed this step, allow your bombs to dry over the night. You need to be extra careful with them as they tend to be fragile.

After 24 hours, these bombs will be ready to use, and your kids can have their detox bath with one of them. While bathing your kids with the bomb, try keeping them in the water for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Note: You can make around 6 medium sized bath bombs with this recipe.

Now that you know everything about making detox bath bombs, what are you waiting for? Buy all the required ingredients and make them at home with your little one. These fizzy little balls will surely spruce up your child’s bathing sessions.
