How to Make your Trips Hassle Free

It feels great to imagine yourself on a holiday, on a beautiful beach or on the top of a snow-covered mountain, but it’s not at all easy when it comes to planning of holidays. Booking of hotels, air-tickets, accommodation and so much more. And, a single mistake can ruin the whole experience. I have a history of doing blunders while traveling, so who is better than me to understand the importance of avoiding traveling mistakes. But, these experiences of mine can help you to travel in a hassle free manner.

So, let’s discuss the things that can be your true savior in reducing travel hassle:

Smartphones

Your smartphone is your true travel companion, it can do much more than you have ever imagined. It can assist you in almost every step right from the beginning to the end of your journey, so don’t take these mobile apps lightly.

Airline app – The airline that you prefer to travel with, do install a mobile app of that airline on your smartphone. It keeps on updating you about the latest offers or discount that they are offering. It also sometimes help you in booking your flying ticket on low prices (that is hard to be done on websites). Some airlines also provide good benefits to people who use their mobile app.

Language apps – Language apps can be your true friend in areas where people don’t even understand the Basic English. There are many such places on this planet that can put you into a difficult situation due to lack of communication such as Japan, China, and remote places in almost every country.

Hotel Booking – Though, it’s better to make all the travel related bookings in advance, but traveling is full of surprises that not always let you travel in accordance to your plan. So, a good hotel booking app should also be there for those not so pleasant urgent situations.

Personal Guide – Google map is something that can help you go anywhere you want on this planet and there are many country specific navigational apps as well. These apps can answer all your queries related to that local area, like where you can find good food, what is the best place to shop, city’s major attractions etc.

So, be smart and do all these app installation in advance.

Check your Shoe-Type

Shoe is one of the most important thing when it comes to traveling. You never know how much you need to walk or stand in case of any unplanned situation. So, keep them comfortable, go for comfortable walking shoes. Currently I am using OTBT Lunar, the comfortable walking shoes for women and I must say that they are great in style and comfort. Also, carry a different pair to wear when you land. Don’t ever compromise on the quality and comfort of shoes, after all they are going to help you in roaming around the city.

Packing Hacks

We all are humans and make mistakes, well don’t panic if you make any, but try to minimize them either by learning from your own or from others’ experiences. Now, I will discuss some of the packing hacks that will help you minimize the packing mistakes.

Prepare in Advance - Make sure you have a good suitcase with perfectly fitted wheels and handles. Also, keep all your important documents ready such as passport, booking print-outs and doctor’s prescription at one place, so that you don’t miss any.

Organize - Organize your luggage in such a way that later you don’t have to waste your time in finding a small thing in that big suitcase. Luggage cubes can help in organizing your luggage in a better way, uppers, lowers, accessories, undergarments, different things can be packed in different cubes and can save tons of time during unpacking.

Keep it to the minimum – Either you are taking a long or short trip, keep your luggage to the minimum. Pack such pieces of clothes that can be worn repeatedly. A pair of jeans and pair of comfortable walking shoes can help.

Don’t Forget

• Don’t ever forget to check the temperature (weather) of the place where you are traveling and carry the essentials accordingly.

• Also, don’t forget to carry dry eatables with you.

• Don’t forget to carry original copy of doctor’s prescription if you are carrying medicines, otherwise it may lend you in trouble in airports.

These were some of the tips that can help in planning a hassle free vacation, but I must say that experience plays an important part in traveling. You will also learn many new things from your mistakes and experiences, so never stop traveling because the joy it gives is worth any cost.
