News: Under The Effect Of Coronavirus | The Final Fantasy XIV Housing Demolition Plan Will Be Suspended Indefinitely

Bad news, in an unprecedented move, the development team of Final Fantasy has temporarily suspended automatic housing demolition just because of the covid-19 outbreak. And this affects all data centers and all servers all over the world. What's worse, by the time the announcement was posted on the Lodestone server, the housing demolition had already been suspended in FF14 game.

In order to keep your house in Final Fantasy XIV, typically, you need to enter the house you built at least once every 45 days. And for those Free Company houses, as long as any member enters this house every 45 days, this house is quite safe from housing demolition. And as you know, this suspension stops the timer.

For more housing issues, you can click here for how to buy a house in FF14.

And now, here is an example of how this works: For example, you have not entered your house in 30 days. And once this freeze is lifted, then the time starts again, and the next day will count as 31 days since you last entered your house.

As a matter of fact, suspending the housing demolition timer is exceedingly rare, and usually only affects a few data centers.

This timer has not been suspended on North American data centers since 2018's Hurricane named Michael, the very first Category 5 hurricane to strike the continental United States.

The developer Square Enix is still uncertain when demolition will be turned back on. according to their announcement said "As for when auto- demolition will resume, we will monitor the situation in the coming days, and inform you all when we have come to a decision that auto- demolition can commence again."

On the bright side, since the Final Fantasy XIV housing demolition has been suspended indefinitely, that means now we have more time to collect Final Fantasy 14 Gil and without worrying our houses get removed.
