Everything you need to know about SMPS power supply?

When it comes to electrical and electronic circuits, it is important to have a power supply that crosses the appropriate amount of current and voltage required to operate the circuit, without running the circuit. There are two most common types of power supply - coil (or linear it is more popular) and switch mode. Although both of these power supplies supply DC power, they are different in the way they generate electricity and the way they operated by the SMPS power supply manufacturer. Both power supplies have their advantages and disadvantages depending on the application they use.

How will this power supply work?

The switch mode power supply (SMPS) converts the AC line power directly to the DC voltage, which is then converted to a high frequency AC signal. This signal is used to generate the desired current and voltage in the regulator circuit. There is a very small and light transformer that adjusts the voltage as needed, resulting in a high power conversion ratio. On the other hand, the coil / linear power supply applies the AC line voltage to the electrical transformer which reduces or increases the voltage before it is applied to the regulator circuit. The LED driver supplier Gujarat requires a large and heavy power supply.
