Family Bali Holidays From Qatar

We are a couple, travel explorer and holiday lover living in Qatar. The beauty of this country is the proximity in its place and global connectivity with all major airports across the globe. Every year, we plan our backpacking to take a break from our daily work. Over the past few years, we explored various countries of the world as our backpacking destination. In 2018 we decide for Bali backpacking and booked luxury residential accommodation at The Double View Mansions Bali. I am writing this article highlighting a brief about the mesmerizing travel experience we had during our Visit to this Indonesian paradise island, Bali.

What made us choose Bali as our Residences apartment Destination?

Well, if I consider the distance, proximity, and place, Bali is far away in South East Asia, about 10 Hours of flying time from Qatar. If you book Qatar Airways, daily three direct flights are operational from Qatar’s Hamad International Airport (HIA) to Bali’s Denpasar Airport or Ngurah Rai International Airport. Visa is on arrival and it’s free. This clarifies that Bali is a popular backpacking destination for holiday lovers staying in Qatar. We decided to visit Bali as we can find here Cultural heritage, Wildlife, Nightlife, Adventure Sports, stunning beaches, music, dance, unique food, mountains, active volcanoes and some picturesque place, everything you find at “The Island of Gods”. Moreover, the reviews and articles we read about the Pantai Lima in Pererenan Canggu in a travel news that increased our craze to many fold regarding a luxurious stay at Bali.

The Adventure Begins

We were spellbound on landing at Bali’s airport, as we can feel the cultural touch everywhere. Our travel agent gave us a warm welcome on our arrival. On our way to the apartment’s hotel in Bali, our driver drove us through a busy street adjoining Kuta Beach. We are filled with Joy and excitement seeing the area. It’s a busy street full off hustle – bustle. There are several famous food chains by the side, like Mc Donalds etc. We grabbed a cappuccino cup and hopped on to the Kuta beach, as the non-stop roaring lusty waves and wind were just irresistible. Within a few minutes we felt so much refreshed and rejoiced, we even forget that we had such a long flight.

The moment we drove into The DVM Bali apartment we got a warm welcome from the Hotel Staffs. I must recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bali as it will add a spark to your stay. You find the electrifying environment, food, and a free-swimming pool access during your stay. The hotel offers early bird discount on prior booking and it’s worth every dollar we paid. Beside this hotel, there are several other five stars, four stars properties which you may choose according to your budget.

We carried US Dollars with us which are widely accepted all over Bali. For 1 USD, the exchange rate is approximately 15,000 Indonesian Rupiah. We carried approximately 500 USD and it was enough for both of us, we never required to withdraw additional money from any Local ATM’s during our stay.

Our Bali local Travel Plan was designed by us from the arrival until departure. We decided to visit as many destinations we can to maximize our enjoyment.

We visited Padang Beach and spend some time there enjoying the natural beauty. We moved to Uluwatu Temple before 5 PM and lucky to watch the world-famous Kecak Dance (Fire Dance). There is a nice open amphitheater where you can sit and enjoy the show, enjoy the sunset and the lusty waves grumbling along the shore. We planned our dinner at Jimbaran Bay where you get fresh Seafood, grilled and served hot to you with a local sauce having a mouth-watering taste. We also drank ARAK – Local Drink served inside coconut having a divine taste. You can enjoy this amazing dinner sitting by the side of the Sea-Beach and eat while enjoying the fresh air.

We visited, Tanah Lot Temple and enjoyed the picturesque beauty and did several photo-shoots. We visited the monkey forest at Ubud, a unique forest in Bali with wide collections of monkey species and it’s massive in size.

We further visited to see the lusty green Jatiluwih Rice Terraces fields giving us a mesmerizing travel experience like never before. This place has a panoramic view, not to be believed unless you witness with your own eyes. We photographed for several hours enjoying this breathtaking beauty.

One day we reserved for Kintamani Volcano Tour and enjoyed the beauty of the valleys and mountains. There are restaurants serving lunch along the opposite side of the valley from where you get a 360-degree panoramic view of this gigantic beauty.

On our Visit to Nusa Dua, we played several adventure sports like Banana Boat, Jet-Sky and Flying Fish. We also visited the Turtle Island on a Glass Bottom boat after we finished our adventure sports activities.

We spend a whole day at the Bali Safari and Marine Park, a home to hundreds of wildlife and an amazing experience for anyone who visits this place. We went early as we want to enjoy all the live performing animal shows, something unique to see. We also visited Bali’s 3D Art Museum, a unique place to visit having 3D arts with optical illusion effect. If you take a picture, the effects make the picture look real. This is located just beside the Bajra Sandi Monument, an iconic monument we witnessed during our Bali memorable accomodation.

Last but not least, enjoy the traditional food “Nasi Goreng”, Local Fried Rice served with pieces of chicken and shrimp crackers. We also drank Luwak Coffee, a unique coffee available in Bali. Luwak coffee is unique as it’s prepared and processed from CIVET waste (CIVET is a cat-like looking animal).

Conclusion

If you have time, you may explore a few additional activities like white water rafting, swim with dolphin etc. However, do visit the Besakhi Temple, The Mother Temple of Bali. We were unable to visit this spot as it’s on the foot of Mount Agung that showed some seismic activity and erupted on 27th Nov 2017 night. Government restricted any entry within 10KM radius for few months as a safety measure after this incident. However, on my next visit to Bali, I will definitely visit, as this temple is a symbol of Bali’s strong cultural heritage and religious belief.

I may write more and more on my experience and feel that I had during my Bali Visit. In short, we had a phenomenal experience and we wish to revisit this island paradise over and over again. Our stay at the luxury residential accommodations of thedoubleviewmansionsbali.com were an unforgettable experience altogether.
