Where am I?

So I would like to be a nurse. I like to look after people and have been told on many occasions that I am a tad controlling and a lot mothering!

Good thing i have two kids then to mother and a husband to bother (he calls it controlling but really - I just nag!)

I used to have a really good career in IT - well paid and comfortable, now... not so much. I left that role and took to part-time work, I wanted more time with the family and less childcare commitments meant we could cut some salary and all be together more.

My new job though. Dull and I am not fulfilled. (Market research) - I feel lost and useless and am not getting that sense of satisfaction I thought I would get from being a parent alone.

To top up my salary and try something new, I started working for a lady on a night as a carer/ personal assistant. Its hard going but wow, do I feel good about what I am doing. Its great, and terrible all at the same time. It makes the daytime job all the more boring and me feel even less needed.

Its time to look into more hours caring for people. Uni? perhaps but where to start as I have no "transferable skills" - unless of course you count getting my kids alive through to ages 4 and 7?

Upwards and all that?
