Things to Do Before You Move

If you are interested in some Moving Tips, we could go on and on about all of the things that should be done during a move. But not many people really consider all of what needs to be done prior to moving. Especially if you are moving out of state. It is especially difficult to get organized unless you have a list of home move services and all of the tasks you will need to complete prior to move day!

Here are some things you should do step by step to make life easier!

1. Go to the post office and request a mail forwarding from your former address to your new address. This should be completed a prior to moving. You can arrange it so that mail will begin forwarding to your new address on a certain date.

2. Credit Cards should be changed so that your address is updated. Same thing goes for another and all other bills. You want to turn off your electricity in your old place the day you move and make sure it is transferred to your new home on move day as well. These things are vitally important. Go through all of your bills and monthly commitments and see what should be changed.

3. Get boxes way before you have to move. YOu don't want to be scrambling last minute trying to find boxes when you are frazzled about your relocation.

4. Have a plan for your pet. Does your pet get stressed when things are hectic? You may want to bring him or her to a friends or to be boarded until you are all settled in.

5. Memberships should be cancelled if you will not be able to commit to them anymore due to your relocation.

I hop this article helps you in your journey to your new home. There are so many resources on the internet. You can find all of the answers to your questions by doing a simple google search.
