From there you can either hire a taxi or take a bus to the Bled area. If you take a bus, pay attention to the stops--they are not marked!
The Slovenian Alps are an untouched mountain range compared to many in the world and the water is so fresh you can drink it from the side of the road.

Additionally, there is easy access to the Sahara Desert, multiple styles of architecture, food for all tastes, friendly people, and you can experience all of it on almost any budget.
5. Paris, France
Visiting Paris may already be on your list, but if it's not, it should be! Yes, there are multiple landmarks including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Notre Dame which is currently being rebuilt.

The Devil's Pool is a natural infinity pool that allows you to be up close and personal with the waterfall while remaining fairly safe as there is a rock wall that prevents you from going over the edge.
Swimming in the Devil's Pool is not for everyone but simply viewing the waterfall from a distance will be an experience to remember.
7. Machu Picchu in Peru
Machu Picchu is not what most people would consider a city by today's terms, however, it is an ancient city located in the Andes Mountains.
Visiting the Incan city will give you a deeper look into the civilization's history and stunning views of the scenery. While you can definitely hike the trails yourself, there is also a train available to make the journey a bit easier.
8. The Grand Canyon, Arizona
If you prefer staying stateside during your vacation, a trip to the Grand Canyon may be perfect for you. Although you can stop to see it while on a road trip, take the time to truly explore it if you have the chance!
