Books From the Backlog #117

Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread. If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks.

If you would like to join in, please feel free to enter your link and link back to this post, then spend some time visiting some of the other posts.

This week's neglected book:

The Cavalier of the Apocalypse by Susanne Alleyn

#1 Aristide Ravel

Historical Mystery

Released: 7.21.09

Pages: 285

Blurb:

A murdered man is found in a Parisian cemetery in 1786, where struggling writer Aristide Ravel recognizes the strange symbols surrounding the body to be Masonic.

WHY DID I PICK THIS ONE?

I won a hard copy of this book back in 2012. I love historical mysteries and this one was set in Colonial America (and beyond) during the Revolutionary War so I thought that was a unique, exciting setting. In truth, I forgot I had it until I was looking for another book and came across it last fall. It's been on my mind to read ever since.
