Why Did I Pick This One?

I read my first story from this author in a free SFR anthology and then I grabbed the related longer novel to that story. I loved that one for its characters and world, but also the intense action and suspense. So, I started collecting her Dock Five Universe series a few years back. They sat.

But, this is the year. I've plugged this series into my once a month series reading challenge and hope to start this one next month.
